LEICESTER Speedway’s exciting build-up to the new season continues thanks to a unique partnership with Specsavers.
The Premiership club, who are grabbing plenty of attention thanks to their exciting team and ambitious promoting team, are working alongside the local branch of Specsavers within the nearby Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre.
Specsavers’ brand is recognised as leaders within the UK that specialise in a range of optometrist related services and they have signed a sponsorship deal with the club to support them for the whole season.
The deal - which was brought about by Lions club official Mike Voce - will see Specsavers have a major presence at all Watling-JCB Lions home meetings.
Store manager, Bryony Smith, said: “It’s a great opportunity for us to sponsor the amazing Leicester Lions Speedway team – they are fantastic to watch and the adrenaline certainly flows when you see them racing around the track at speeds of up to 50mph.
“We’re always keen to support sports at the grassroots level and the Lions are great at nurturing young talent in the area and helping them develop their racing career, so we are really happy to be part of this for the coming year.”
Leicester club official Alan Jones (pictured with Store Manager Bryony Smith and her colleague Alex Peach) said: “We are very proud to be partnering with this household name and look forward to working with Specsavers in Beaumont Leys as a sponsor of our club.
“Everyone within the club is delighted to have the company on-board and together I believe that we can look forward to an exciting season of speedway ahead of us.”
